Dina Meyer was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island in the last year of junior high school. Her siblings include two younger ones and an older brother. At the age of 9 until 16, she began working in the industry of entertainment through acting. Ron Stetson taught her the Sanford Meisner acting technique at The Neighborhood Playhouse. Sandra Bullock received similar training, along with Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton are among the actors that have undergone similar training. When she moved to Los Angeles, she got her first part in the Beverly Hills 90210. After a few months, she landed the role as Johnny Mnemonic. For this movie, she was responsible for nearly all stunts and proved herself to be an accomplished actress. Her talent agent was also representing Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent, she was able to secure a role in the show Friends.
