Chando reside in New York City. Chando attended Manhattan College prior to becoming an actor. Chando played the character of Maddie Coleman in the TV soap show As The World Changes between 2005 and 2007 and, for a short period from late 2009 onwards, she reprised the role. Alexandra began her acting career in 2002 on the TV show House Blend playing the character in the role of Jenna Harper. In the following three seasons, she starred in the American soap opera for television which was telecast at CBS, As the World Turns as Maddie Coleman. Chando was a part of the American documentary films True life and Sherri in 2009, and was also a part of the Maddie Coleman character in As the World Turns. Moreover, she starred in two episodes of American comedy-drama TV show Glory Daze as Annabelle. Additionally, her other TV show credits are Castle, Hindsight, Dead People and Outcast.
