Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian musician and singer from Canada. The first work she did has been described as going to "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop,[4] and has incorporated influences from electronic music hip-hop and rock. Many of her lyrics touch upon science fiction themes and feminist themes. The singer has released five studio albums. Growing up in Vancouver (later relocated into Montreal), Grimes began releasing music independently in the late 2000s with two albums released, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa, in 2010 via Arbutus Records. Following her joining 4AD, she rose in fame with Visions which is her third studio album. Visions features the singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion" and won the Canadian music industry's Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year. Her fourth studio album Art Angels was released in 2015. It was praised highly from reviewers and numerous journals voted it as the best album of the year. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth album in the studio. Grimes as well as an actor and judge in Alter Ego's music contests, played a part as the vocalist in Cyberpunk 2077 which was released 20th of January, 2020.
